California Junior Scholarship Federation is a organization for students that earn good grades.  Students must apply at the beginning of each trimester with their previous trimester grades.  Students must have a total of 10 points.  "A's" are worth 3 points, "B's" are worth 1 point, "C's" are worth 0 points and if you receive a "D" or "F" in any subject you will not be accepted into CJSF.  PE and elective grades do not count towards points.   Acceptance into CJSF is not only based on grades but citizenship as well.  Dues of $5 and 5 community service hours are required each trimester.  Students engage in periodic group community service projects throughout the year and they also take a trip towards the end of the year.  7th graders typically go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and 8th graders go to Ashland, OR to the Shakespeare Festival.
