Chess Club
This is a great club to grow your critical thinking skills and learn a fun and exciting game.
Chess Club meets every week on Wednesdays from 2:30 -3:30 in room 28 to practice new skills and strategies. Each month the Corning schools come together for friendly matches, giving players a chance to practice their new moves and build community with other chess players.
Students of the Chess Club are also invited to join the Sacramento Valley Scholastic Chess League. Members of the League meet once a month to play against schools in the greater Butte and Tehama County areas. These matches are scored, giving players a chance to increase their numbered ranking and play against other skilled opponents.
